Lamitak and local collaborators PPP Coffee and Soilboy presented a contemplative space at FIND – Design Fair Asia 2023 that offered respite and a beautiful aesthetic

At this year’s FIND – Design Fair Asia, Lamitak presented A Reunion of Us – A Notion of Slow Living With Lamitak. This captivating extension from the brand’s Vol.1 catalogue reinforced the notion of intentional living and fostered a sense of tranquillity, a reunion that embodied the essence of slow living while bridging the connection to last year's installation, offering a harmonious blend of Japanese and Scandinavian design philosophies.

This year, Lamitak formed an intriguing collaboration with two like-minded brands to create a unique communal space that embodied the brands’ shared values and beliefs. One was the esteemed speciality coffee boutique PPP Coffee × Morning, the brand behind Morning Machine that’s spearheading a revolution in home coffee brewing. The other collaborator was Soilboy, a Singapore-based plant design studio that aims to inspire curiosity for nature while elevating living spaces with thoughtfully curated plants, handmade pots and innovative installations. Together, the three aspired to craft an environment that seamlessly blended sensory surfaces with the beauty of nature while enjoying an exquisite coffee experience. The collaboration was a truly immersive and inspiring space for individuals to gather, connect and appreciate the harmonious fusion of design, taste and botanical wonder.

Indeed, Lamitak’s philosophy is to create spaces that embody intentionality and cultivate a sense of calmness. A Reunion of Us – A Notion of Slow Living With Lamitak encompassed these values and took them a step further, with a thoughtfully curated selection of inspired organic and natural materials including wood, stone, and paper that evoke a soothing ambience. A centrepiece of the booth was the striking book-matched marble showcase, which celebrated the timeless elegance of Carrara’s grace and Nero’s embrace. By unveiling a myriad of patterns and hues, nature’s beauty was translated into everyday surfaces, bringing a touch of the outdoors inside.

However, as a company committed to sustainability, Lamitak also promotes alternatives to marble and wood that help to preserve the environment without compromising on beauty and functionality. The brand’s collection of sustainable surfaces supports the well-being of forests, enabling them to thrive and grow.

‘This year’s concept encapsulated our dedication to providing innovative interior solutions that prioritise intentionality, tranquillity and sustainability,’ says Jansen Tan, director of product & brand at Lamitak. ‘As an avid collaborator with local like-minded brands, we were excited to partner with PPP Coffee × Morning and Soilboy to curate a communal space that translates these beliefs at FIND Design this year.’
